Kingdom Conquest: Dark Empire

The first project I worked on at SEGA Hardlight. It was thrilling to work on bringing a successful Japanese franchise to a wider audience.

I was predominantly responsible for overseeing the City’s art development, creating and setting the style and workflow for the buildings, providing concept sketches and art direction; as well as implementing and polishing the environment terrain.

As the city neared completion, I lent my skills to other areas of the project, including:

  • Designing and animating the radial menu for the City UI

  • Helping to implement, and provide art, animation and design for the FTUE

  • Art direction, implementation and animation for the card draw and battle systems, including their UI, collaborating with the code team to get everything working.

  • Produced and polished icons and dialogs for the UI

  • Creating environments for the battle system
